Kimball Library News 9/13/11

It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes many hands to make light work. We are in the business of offering you opportunities to serve and give back to your community at the library. You could do that here at Kimball Library if you have one hour a week consistently to give away and you are a detail-oriented person who is sixteen or older. We can use those folks who are willing to shelve books once a week for one hour. Some lifting and bending is involved as well as great attention to alphabetization, order, and the decimal system. We will train you, but we need a minimum of a 6 week trial and then a 6 month commitment from you if we both feel this is the place for you. Contact Kathy Watson at (603) 362-5234 for more information and a volunteer application.

We have some news regarding our fictional DVDs that we are quite sure will please you. Traditionally our loan period has been for 2 days for all movies in this category. Now, however, you may take out any fictional DVD that we have had for 6 months or longer for a loan period of one week. Our late fees will remain the same if you return them later than the due date, but you now have five extra days to watch your films and get them back for free. This is just our way of making your life easier. 

Even more good news to enjoy is that we have another new way to save you money and add some entertainment to your life. We are now carrying a discount pass for the Merrimack Repertory Theatre. It is good for $10 off each ticket, limit 6 tickets per performance of MRT's 2011-2012 season. *This is NOT VALID FOR SPECIAL EVENTS* and may only be used once per person, per performance.

The pass must be presented at MRT's Box Office to receive tickets. Tickets may be reserved and paid for in advance with the ID Number, on the front of this pass, but the pass must be brought to the theater the day of the performance to receive the tickets.

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
